United Way of Cass County supports a variety of vital programs through our Partner Agencies, promotes Early Childhood Literacy with four Reading Railroad programs, provides funding to other initiatives, coordinates various grants, and so much more! We focus our efforts on Education, Health, and Financial Stability. We believe these pillars to be the foundation of a quality life.
LIVE UNITED® Day
LIVE UNITED® Day began in 2008 and has been bringing people together on the 2nd Friday of September ever since. This Day of Action matches eager volunteers with projects hosted by local organizations, and many incredible projects have been brought to life in the last 17 years. In 2024, over 700 volunteers donated their time to make our community a better place. You can find more information about LIVE UNITED® Day here.
Cass County Reading Railroad
Cass County Reading Railroad is an internal initiative focused on Early Childhood Literacy. Over 3,000 children benefit annually from Reading Railroad programs, which include: Begindergarten™, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, Business Partners, and First Grade Library Visits. In addition to ongoing programming, Reading Railroad participates in various outreach events throughout the year.
